WSHS Parents of 504 Plan, IEP or ESOL/ELL students

August 01, 2022

Attention Parents of students who have a 504 Plan, IEP or ESOL/ELL Supports:

To support students with obtaining test scores for college admissions and/or concordant scores for high school graduation, SCPS coordinates with ACT (a college readiness assessment) and SAT (College Board Assessment – PSAT, SAT, CLEP, and AP exams).

Your student may qualify for testing accommodations per his/her 504, IEP, or ESOL/ELL supports. For the school to submit the documentation to ACT and/or SAT, consent from the Parent/Guardian/Student is required (click on the consent forms below).  If you have already submitted these forms in the past, please disregard this email.

Although students may be granted accommodations through their IEP, 504 plan, or ESOL/ELL supports, they must be approved by College Board and/or ACT to use these accommodations on those assessments.

The deadline to apply for accommodations for the Fall of 2022 administration of SAT and ACT is 8/5/2022.

If a response is not received by 8/5/2022 accommodation requests for this administration of the ACT or SAT may not be submitted for approval.  However, if not received by the school on or before 8/5/2022 at 3 p.m. you may still submit the consent forms for future test administrations.  Please be advised that the recommended time frame to submit these consent forms for future test administrations are at least three months in advance.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the school counselor assigned to your student or Dr. Paula Lohman (Student Support Services Facilitator) at

Consent forms may be sent to either the school counselor or Dr. Lohman electronical or dropped off in the Student Services Building.
